Stockhelm QC
Quality inspections where the internet can't follow
Built for the hardest floor we could find: North Pacific catcher-processor vessels, with wet decks, gloved hands, regulatory evidence and no connectivity at sea. If it works there, it works in your plant.
- Works with zero internet at sea
- 115 product specs built in
- English, Spanish and Tagalog
- Day and night deck modes
49 fish tallied in this pan. The scale reads 743 g; one tap on row 700, column 40.
The status quo is tribal knowledge and double entry
Most operations already track this data. It is scattered across clipboards, binders and a spreadsheet someone reconciles the morning after.
Paper checklists at the line
Inspection and loss data captured on paper, then transcribed hours later, if it gets transcribed at all.
The record arrives too late to change anything.
Excel double entry
The same numbers get re-keyed into a shift log, then a weekly rollup, then a monthly report, with drift at every step.
Hours lost re-keying, and the totals still disagree.
Tribal knowledge about root cause
Everyone knows which line, shift or input source tends to cause losses. It lives in someone's head, not in a system.
The knowledge walks out the door with the person.
Three jobs, one record
The inspector
On the vessel
TodayWeighs and grades pans with paper on a wet deck, then re-types the same numbers into Excel after the shift.
With Stockhelm QCEnters weights and defect tallies once, at the pan, on a glove-friendly touchscreen. The quality score appears at once.
The manager
On the vessel
TodayNo view of quality until the workbook is assembled, often after the trip.
With Stockhelm QCStarts and completes trips, sets the roster, and sees every inspection the moment it is saved, while the catch is still being packed.
The back office
Ashore
TodayA folder of disconnected trip spreadsheets nobody can compare.
With Stockhelm QCAnalytics across every trip, inspection and packer, including who was notified about which issue.
A tally board that adapts to the product
The board renders each product's whole grade band: a familiar tally sheet when the band is narrow, a weight grid when it is wide. The weight matrix in the overview is the wide-band face. The board face is picked automatically per product spec, and the board never rounds evidence; the exact grams are always what gets recorded.
A narrow band has few weight options, so the board stays a familiar tally sheet. One tap per fish; a defect flags its mark in orange.
One transparent score per pan
Every pan starts at 100 and earns deductions, using the same formulas as your QC workbook, computed live. Every score shows its work, and a reading that was never taken is recorded as not measured rather than silently counted as a pass or a fail.
100 − 8 out of grade − 5 pattern = 87, grade B

From thousands of pans to three decisions
Once trips reach shore, the same records answer what spreadsheets never could. A crew or product is flagged only when it differs notably from its peers, with enough samples to say so, and every flagged issue records who was notified.

From the floor to a decision a manager can act on
Step 1: Capture at the point of production
Operators log inspections, losses and events on the device already at the station.
Step 2: Context attaches automatically
Line, operator, shift and batch attach to every record. No re-entry, no reconciliation.
Step 3: Root cause surfaces
Loss and quality events correlate against line, shift and input batch as they occur.
Step 4: Managers act on a live view
Daily and weekly views built for the decisions leaders make, not raw exports.
Fleet Intelligence Cloud
Built for floors that leave the internet behind
Everything an inspector touches runs on the vessel's own network. The cloud is a destination, never a dependency. Fleet Intelligence Cloud is available now, as a subscription with Stockhelm QC.
Step 1: On board
A small server on the vessel; inspectors work from tablets or terminals right at the pans.
Step 2: Stored on the vessel
Every inspection is saved aboard. Each vessel is its own complete system of record at sea.
Step 3: Uploaded when connected
Finished trips push to the cloud in port or on a satellite window. Two vessels or twenty.
Step 4: Read ashore
The back office reads one combined archive: trip reports, comparisons, analytics.
- No internet needed at sea
- Nothing lost if the connection drops
- Every record arrives exactly once
One archive for the whole fleet
Trip reports, comparisons across vessels and trips, and who was notified about which issue. Two vessels or twenty, each one its own system of record at sea.

Built for the traceability bar regulated processing already has to clear
QA teams need records that hold up to an audit, not a folder of scanned forms. The data model is built around that requirement: append-only records, audited corrections, and a tamper-evident trail verified on every startup.
Avimenta does not currently hold SOC 2, FDA or other third-party certifications. Ask us for our current compliance posture and roadmap.
NMFS PRR audits
Live today
Product-weight drift against NOAA's standard recovery rates triggers audits. Stockhelm QC holds pan-level weight evidence: timestamped, tied to inspector and haul, retained for three years.
MSC and RFM chain of custody
Every surveillance audit
Lot traceability and mass balance from carton back to haul. Every pan carries the full lot spine: vessel, trip, haul, stat area, species, grade, lot key. One dataset serves both certifiers.
FSMA 204
Effective around July 2028
Your shoreside receiver must assign traceability lot codes from harvest data only the vessel can supply. Every key data element is captured from day one, so the export switches on before 2028 with no rebuild.
- Append-only, hash-chained audit trail
- Corrections are voids with a reason, never edits
- Three-year on-board retention (50 CFR 679)
- You own your data
The questions every operation asks first
We have no internet at sea. Is that a problem?
No, it is the design assumption. Everything runs on the vessel's own network. The cloud is only involved when connectivity returns.
What hardware do we need to buy?
Usually none. The server runs on the existing vessel computer; stations are ordinary touchscreens or tablets running a browser.
Can records be edited after the fact?
Never silently. Corrections are voids with a recorded reason, and every change lands in the tamper-evident audit trail.
Does it replace our eLogbook?
No. OLRAC and Deckhand keep owning regulatory catch reporting. Stockhelm QC replaces the Excel QA workbook beside it.
How much training will crews need?
Very little. One guided flow per inspection, in the inspector's own language (English, Spanish or Tagalog), designed for gloved hands on a moving deck.
Can we grow into it later?
Yes. Additional vessels, inspector stations and admin seats can be added at any time. Every vessel runs the same way, independently.
What if the vessel computer fails mid-trip?
Vessels can carry an identical spare box; stations re-point to it. Ashore, the cloud archive holds everything from the last sync.
Whose numbers are these, yours or ours?
Yours. The score engine implements your workbook's own formulas, validated side by side against it before go-live.
Operational data shouldn't live in a binder
Avimenta exists because processing floors already generate the data that would explain their losses. It is trapped in paper checklists, disconnected spreadsheets and the memory of whoever has been on shift the longest. We build the system that captures it once, at the source, and puts it to work.
Every processor, efficient, and data-driven to the core. The Avimenta mission
Capture where the work happens
Data is most accurate at the moment it is created. We design for the line, not the back office, so records get entered once, correctly, by the person closest to the event.
Structure over spreadsheets
A spreadsheet can hold a number. It cannot hold a batch relationship, an audit trail or a retention policy. We build for the structure regulated processing needs.
Plain answers over dashboards
A chart that does not change a decision is not worth building. We aim every view at a specific action a manager, QA lead or operator needs to take.
Give us one trip
No more marking fish in pencil, no more retyping tallies into a spreadsheet. You get the time back, and the analytics to improve every trip after it.
Step 1: Install
On existing hardware, one visit, before the run starts.
Step 2: Load your specs
Your product catalogue and standards, entered with your QA lead.
Step 3: Run alongside
Crews use it next to the current workbook. Nothing at risk.
Step 4: Compare
Report against report, side by side, with your team.
